Rick is an old Byrdmaniac and generally an artsy rock music buff. He is particularly a devotee of later Byrd Clarence White's contribution, including his invention - the stringbender, and his syncopated but psychedelic style which also spawned an important influence on later Americana and cosmic country music. Rick has played stringed instruments since childhood. He also writes songs, and has played in quite a few bands, including the world famous Dreambreakers.
